Maureen O'Hara Biography

Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actor and singer with Irish origin. The green-eyed beauty with flaming hair was popular for her passionate and fiery roles in various American films. Her beauty and elegance were well-loved. Also, she was known as the 'Queen Of Technicolor in Hollywood. The characters she played on screen reflected her own strong, courageous spirit who was fighting to be recognized and a part of the world of males. She called herself "the tough Irish lady" and she did not give up her respect for other people in order to obtain the roles she was entitled to by merit. She was a strong advocate for women in television and film, and gained many followers in the process. The autobiography 'Tis Herself', written by her which was published in 2004 provided an honest and honest about her life's experiences, including the difficulties in climbing the ladder to achieve success. She was an adventurous person who didn't fear doing herself stunts. She appeared in more than 60 films and was a well-known actor across the world. She remarried in 1968 with Charles F. Blair Jr. an ex-pilot chief and brigadier who was a pioneer in transatlantic aviation. Within a couple of years of their union, O'Hara decided to end her retirement. However, her happiness was not long-lasting since Blair passed away in a tragic plane crash in the year 1978. She was also diagnosed with uterine cancer in the same year and underwent an immediate operation. She eventually recovered. She had six heart attacks, a short-term memory loss as well as diabetes type 2 in the subsequent years. On the 24th of October, 2015, O'Hara peacefully expired in Boise, Idaho, from natural causes at 95.
