Magda Apanowicz

 Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 the 8th of November, 1985) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Most well-known is her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. Recently, she appeared as Sandy on the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for a year during the ninth grade. She lived with her uncle in Poland and went to Jelenia Gola school. Later, she studied at Vancouver Film School. Her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she was immediately attracted to acting. She began her career in 2002, making brief appearances in the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 until 2009 she was the character of Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. In 2008, she was a guest star as Andy Jensen in Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to portray Lacy Rand in Caprica's telecast drama starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. She later appeared in Hellcats. In 2012, she guest starred in the second season of Jane Espenson's romantic comedy web show, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz was cast as Emily in the show Continuum She also appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. Although it was filmed in 2012, The Green Inferno was internationally released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science fiction thriller film Volition. The film came out in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Sandy on the second season of Netflix thriller You.
