Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23, 1970 was an American actress. Cordelia Chase played the character of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural drama (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was also a star in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter as who worked in a bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High school in Las Vegas. She was also a member of a music and dance group that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter relocated with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age fifteen. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter embarked on a journey to Europe after her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics teacher, a videostore clerk, and property manager. In 1991, she was employed as an official cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., the former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them by threatening them with guns. In the midst of the struggle she and her two friends along with Hubbard were shotand forced Hubbard to flee the scene. Both friends survived the attack. Hubbard was arrested, found guilty and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of robberies and rapes. Carpenter stole Hubbard's flashlight one of the police's flashlights, off the beach. The flashlight was a crucial element of evidence against Hubbard.
