Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara, Spanish was born on 10 July, 1972. She is an actress presenter, producer model, and television host from Colombia. Vergara was the highest paid actress on American television from 2013 to 2020.Vergara was a star when she began hosting two television shows for Spanish-language television channel Univision in the latter part of the 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's first significant acting gig in English. She subsequently appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedy films Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009), receiving an ALMA Award nomination for the last. She made her debut with ABC's comedy show Modern Family in 2009. In the role she won four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her voice-over roles include Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also in The Emoji Movie (2017). Since 2020, Vergara has been a judge on America's Got Talent. Vergara was born to a Roman Catholic family in Barranquilla. Vergara's mom Margarita Vergara was a homemaker and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. By her five siblings, and numerous cousins, she was called "Toti". Vergara was a first-year student at National University of Colombia in dentistry. After that, she left for two years to pursue opportunities for modeling and show business.
