Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules! From 2009 to 2010. She was then on the show as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution between 2012 and 2014, for which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played Annika in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since 2017 Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. When she was born, her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She is strongly connected to her Greek heritage and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting at the age of junior high school and attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV role within a few weeks, a tiny role on Supernatural. She worked in television for a few more years, landing roles in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was part of the TV film Goblin and in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also had a recurring role on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she won her first leading role in the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. Her debut feature film came in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she was in the role of Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags the movie, which was a Nickelodeon original movie. Spiridakos then was offered the main role in Revolution, as Charlotte Matheson (survivor in the dystopian future) and telecast on NBC television. In her pilot season, she auditioned for the part. Spiridakos was the pilot's camera in Atlanta. The pilot season was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance on the pilot she was nominated for win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She fell short to Anna Torv from Fringe's The Good Place. The second season saw production was moved to Austin Texas.
