Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Anne W. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde wigs and a pumped-up appearance, shares tips on how to prepare restaurant-style meals at home, using easy methods. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. During her time in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that left a lasting impact in her viewpoint. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of children who face difficulties. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador who promotes the awareness of children with diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion, and also shares her expertise in the culinary world as she frequently is in the United States for various roles such as speakers and mentors.
